Training

New EL teachers, and others who work with ELs, will find the information presented during this training very helpful. Participants will receive basic information to assist in understanding EL and Title III regulations and best practice in instruction for English learners. The session will help your district prepare for monitoring and alleviate compliance findings, as well as assist participants in understanding ELD standards and assessment. Participants will also receive information on incorporating academic speaking in the content areas. There will be time to ask questions and share ideas as well.

If you are interested in taking advantage of this great opportunity at such a nominal fee, don't wait. Seating is limited so register now! A healthy breakfast, drinks (juice, coffee, water) and snacks will be provided, as well as a lunch ticket for the Capitol Cafe. Travel expenses may be reimbursed by your school using local Title I or Title III funds.

If you have questions or need additional information, please email the EL Program Coordinator or call 701-328-1876.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The handout documents will be made available to all registrants electronically. If you would like NDDPI to provide you with a binder of all printed materials at a cost of $15.00 (added to your registration fee), you must choose that option below. If you register at the $25 price, you will not receive printed materials. Binders and handouts will NOT be available at the training.
