North Dakota is the first state to obtain approval for including school administrators in a federally supported apprenticeship program. The initiative is designed to provide supervised, on-the-job training for educators while they obtain the academic credentials required to advance their careers.
NDDPI's application was co-sponsored by National Center for Grow Your Own (NCGYO) as well as the Council for Chief State School Officers (CCSSO). Other partners who expressed support for the application include the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP), the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), the North Dakota Council of Educational Leaders, and North Dakota United.
