The North Dakota Department of Public Instruction and partnering agencies are leading a statewide Summer Reading initiative, which includes a kickoff event on Wednesday, June 21, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the Capitol Lawn in Bismarck. Area students, families, and community members are invited to attend! The event will feature several "Meet the Author" opportunities and area partners will also be on site to provide interactive and informative activities for attendees. Each student will receive a ticket that may be redeemed for a free, signed book from an author of their choice (subject to availability). Jessie Veeder will provide musical entertainment and interactive art sessions.
