Child Nutrition Virtual Training options on ND ED Hub:

  • Financial Management (2 hours)
  • Recipe Standardization (3 hours)
  • Meal Pattern: (1 hour each)
    • Overview and Additional Requirements
    • Bread-Grain
    • Fruit
    • Vegetable
    • Meat/Meat Alternate
    • Milk
  • Kitchen Efficiencies (2 hours)
  • Production Record Training – Paper or Excel (2 hours)
  • Offer Vs Serve Activity (1 hour)
  • USDA Foods (1 hour)

Find over 500+ trainings available in a variety of formats and partners to increase your knowledge of School Nutrition programs.  They are organized into four areas of focus for school meals: Nutrition, Operations, Administration, and Marketing.  Click on the title of the training that interests you and then the ‘Website’ of the partner offering the training.  This should take you to the resource.

School Nutrition professionals are required to complete a certain number of professional development hours each year.  These can be tracked on the log located in the front of the green-covered NSLP Production record book or any other method chosen by the school.  USDA has an online spreadsheet for this purpose:
