Schools and districts across North Dakota are expected to implement the 2023 North Dakota Mathematics K-12 Standards during the 2024-2025 school year. The North Dakota Mathematics Content Standards provide educational guidelines for school and district curriculum development. These standards develop learners' skills to understand complex and varying text independently, communicate through speaking and writing, and collaborate with others.
The North Dakota Academic Progression of Learning and Understanding of Students (ND A+) assessment system aligns with the North Dakota Mathematics content standards. This alignment exists between the North Dakota Mathematics content standards and the formative, interim, and summative assessments. The 2023 Mathematics standards will be measured on the ND A+ assessment beginning in the 2024-2025 school year.
