The North Dakota Content Standards are reviewed every five to seven years. The review process begins with the selection of the standards for review. The review is conducted by a team of North Dakota educators who review the standards within the discipline, considering advances within that disciplinary area, national standards, and standards from states like North Dakota. The drafts of the revised standards are published and open to public comment, which the reviewers use to make further revisions. The drafts are also reviewed by a team of reviewers consisting of North Dakota stakeholders, including parents, businesspersons, and other members of the North Dakota community.

North Dakota Department of Public Instruction Seeks Input on Draft 2 of Financial Literacy Content Standards
The North Dakota Department of Public Instruction (NDDPI) seeks feedback on the second draft of the North Dakota Financial Literacy Content Standards.
Content standards are concise, written descriptions outlining the knowledge and skills students are expected to know and do at a specific stage of their education. They illustrate what students have learned upon completing a grade level or grade span. The academic standards do not describe particular teaching practices, curriculum, or assessment methods.
Over the past three months, a committee of North Dakota educators has diligently been working on creating standards and seeking feedback. The NDDPI asks that all interested stakeholders provide input on the standards draft through the survey linked below. The survey closes on April 18, 2025.
