The North Dakota Social Studies Content Standards provide educational guidelines for school and district curriculum development. These standards focus on creating a deeper understanding of our state and nation through engagement in active inquiry of primary and secondary documents about civics, government, economics, North Dakota history, United States history, and world history. This discipline also contains psychology and sociology studies at the high school level. Learners will develop essential skills for navigating personal finance in economics or problems of democracy courses within this discipline.
