The North Dakota Indigenous and World Language Content Standards provide educational guidelines for school and district curriculum development. These standards focus on creating a more profound study of additional languages and cultures, empowering learners to communicate with a cultural understanding of others. Learners form connections with new cultures and languages or discover an understanding of the cultures within their communities. By including the study of all languages and cultures used by people in the state and those in other countries, a connection was created to the history of North Dakota.
