Frannie Tunseth, a reading and mathematics teacher at Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg Public School in Mayville, is North Dakota’s Teacher of the Year for 2026, state School Superintendent Kirsten Baesler and Gov. Kelly Armstrong said in a joint announcement Friday.

AIM Pathways' comprehensive courses help educators gain knowledge and acquire tools to put the Science of Reading to work in their classrooms and schools. Since 2022, more than 2,100 North Dakota educators have grown their knowledge in structured literacy instruction through NDSoR: Reaching All Learners, a comprehensive course developed by the AIM Institute for the South East Education Cooperative (SEEC). FREE to North Dakota educators thanks to supported funding from the N.D. Department of Public Instruction.

School Data Migration Update

NDDPI issued an RFP for school data migration in July. Eighteen proposals were received, and an "Intent to Award" was posted on the State Procurement Office website on Aug. 22. The contract is expected to be awarded in early September. NDDPI will continue to share updates and keep districts informed as additional details become available.
