Accreditation serves as a meaningful quality assurance process that supports continuous school improvement, strengthens accountability, and upholds high standards of educational excellence. It provides schools and districts with a framework for self-assessment, external review, and strategic planning, all aimed at enhancing student learning and organizational effectiveness.
In North Dakota, we partner with Cognia as a primary accrediting body. To support local choice and innovation, we also invite other nationally recognized accreditation vendors to apply for approval. This gives schools and districts the flexibility to select from a list of vetted providers that align with their unique goals and needs.
Includes guidance for prospective accreditation vendors and a searchable list of alternative providers approved to serve North Dakota K–12 schools.
