North Dakota’s BRIDGE initiative is moving full speed ahead as we prepare to launch Infinite Campus as our new statewide Student Information System (SIS) in July 2026. This work is part of a broader effort to modernize how education data is collected, connected, and used to support student success. We continue to address real questions from the field to help educators stay informed and ready for what’s next.

North Dakota’s BRIDGE initiative is modernizing how we collect, manage, and use K-12 education data statewide. As we move toward implementing Infinite Campus as our new Student Information System (SIS), here are a few key updates and answers to questions we’ve received from the field.

The North Dakota Department of Public Instruction has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for assistance with the extraction and cleanup of existing state-level and LEA/District-level PowerSchool and TieNet data. The awarded vendor will also be asked to assist with aligning the extracted data to Infinite Campus’ pre-defined data schemas.

We’re excited to announce the release of the Infinite Campus SIS Implementation Guide! As we continue to implement BRIDGE, this guide will be your go-to resource as we transition to a new Student Information System.

As North Dakota moves forward with BRIDGE, our K-12 data modernization solution, it’s essential for districts to begin preparing for the changes that will come with the new Infinite Campus Student Information System (SIS) and associated data systems. The transition to a modernized system represents a significant shift in how student data is collected, stored, and shared across the state.

Beginning in October, Infinite Campus will work with LEAs to work toward the implementation of the student information system (SIS). This is one of several pieces included in BRIDGE, the state's K-12 data modernization solution. To ensure a smooth transition to the new SIS, the Infinite Campus implementation team has outlined several critical preparations, or "extra credit" opportunities.

We’re pleased to announce the name of North Dakota’s new K-12 education data system: BRIDGE – Building Reports Informing Data-driven Growth in Education.

The North Dakota Department of Public Instruction has signed a contract with Infinite Campus and we are moving into the implementation phase of the K-12 Data Modernization project. NDDPI will hold meetings with Infinite Campus and other stakeholders to discuss timelines, data needs, and system interconnections.
