Opportunities for Support
BRIDGE Open Office Hours: The North Dakota Department of Public Instruction (NDDPI) and project partners are now holding general Office Hours on a weekly basis. Our next session is scheduled for next Wednesday, July 22, 12–1 p.m. CDT.
SSO & User Authentication Support Sessions: As part of the transition to Infinite Campus, districts will be required to use a Single Sign-On (SSO) provider so staff and students can securely access the Infinite Campus student information system (SIS). We will also cover the generation and management staff usernames and staff IDs that support authentication in Infinite Campus.
Title VI District Support Session:
The purpose of this session is to assist districts in preparing Title VI Indian Education data from PowerSchool within Infinite Campus. Staff from Aurora Educational Technology and NDDPI will be available to assist and answer questions.
Emergency Funding Update
As of Thursday, July 16, District Superintendents began receiving email notifications from WebGrants. Superintendents are advised to log in to WebGrants and electronically sign the agreement which will allow them to begin submitting claims for reimbursement. More information on the allowable expenses and grant requirements can be viewed in WebGrants.
Custom Data Migrations (One-Time Imports)
Districts looking to migrate data to Infinite Campus that was not included in the ‘standard’ migration activities should first speak with their Infinite Campus Implementation manager. They will be able to confirm if the data being requested to migrate will be part of any post-production migration activities (ex: Secondary emails, Locker numbers, etc.). If it is confirmed that the requested data elements will NOT be included in already planned migration work, they may point districts in the direction of their channel partner, K12 Solutions Group, for an additional technical services request.
If additional costs are incurred, districts may utilize forthcoming Emergency Fund grant dollars to offset these allowable expenses and support implementation efforts.
Database Access to Historical PowerSchool Data
NDDPI continues to work with NDIT on providing Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) access to historical PowerSchool (PS) data. Many districts submitted requests, and our teams are actively working through the list to ensure each district’s connection is prepared correctly.
At this time, there are no major updates or changes to report. As individual environments are ready, district staff who submitted the request form will receive setup information directly from NDIT.
If your district has questions or concerns during this process, please reach out to the BRIDGE email inbox.
Staff Data Rollover in STARS and Using MIS03 for New Staff Entries
There have been several questions regarding how staff data rolls over into the State Automated Reporting System (STARS) from Infinite Campus. For the 2026–27 school year, STARS will be the only system used to enter and manage staff information. Staff data will not be imported from Infinite Campus.
Please refer to this guidance document for step-by-step instructions. Staff members who were entered in STARS last year can be rolled over as they have in previous years, and any new staff members can be added directly in STARS. This process has not changed from previous years.
If you need to add a brand-new staff member, the MIS03 Blank Document can help simplify the data entry process.
We want to emphasize that this is essentially the same process schools have followed in prior years. The only difference is that the transfer of staff information between Infinite Campus and STARS has been removed, so you may need to enter or update more information directly in STARS.
To further assist schools, we will be posting guidance videos covering frequently asked questions such as North Dakota Center for Distance Education (NDCDE) courses, long-term substitutes, offered/not taught classes, and other common topics on our website by August 1. We will send a notification as soon as these resources are available.
For questions, please email Katie Wald.
Historical Document Availability in Infinite Campus
We want to provide a reminder regarding the document transition from PowerSchool and TieNet to Infinite Campus.
Districts will be able to log in on July 20 to view initial data and begin entering student, staff, and other information. However, PowerSchool documents are not expected to be available until the week of July 27 due to the timing of the extraction and importing process.
Historical PowerSchool and TieNet documents timeline:
- July 20: TieNet documents are expected to be available in Infinite Campus
- Week of July 27: PowerSchool documents are expected to be available in Infinite Campus
NDDPI BRIDGE Resource Hub
NDDPI is excited to announce the launch of a new BRIDGE Resource Hub, designed to serve as a central location for project-related resources and guidance. The hub will continue to evolve over time, with new content and enhancements added regularly. As a complement to the Infinite Campus Knowledge Base, the Resource Hub will focus on North Dakota-specific workflows, processes, and guidance, including (but not limited to) Student Information System (SIS) functionality.
Access has been granted to “All Active K12 Accounts” for staff members. View the Resource Hub here: NDDPI Resource Hub - Home
