BRIDGE Open Office Hours: The North Dakota Department of Public Instruction (NDDPI) and project partners are now holding general Office Hours on a weekly basis. Our next session is scheduled for next Wednesday, Aug. 12, 12–1 p.m. CDT.
Special Education Town Hall / Q&A: NDDPI is hosting another open forum for Special Education discussion with the transition to Infinite Campus. Join us on Thursday, Aug. 13, 9–10:30 a.m. CDT.
Campus Digital Repository (CDR) Costs
NDDPI is providing an important update regarding the Campus Digital Repository (CDR). Earlier communication indicated that NDDPI would only cover the first year of additional storage costs associated with the CDR.
NDDPI has now confirmed that the department will cover all additional CDR storage costs for districts moving forward.
This decision ensures that districts will not incur unplanned expenses related to expanded storage needs within the Campus Digital Repository.
Student Enrollment Codes Guide
NDDPI has released a student enrollment reference document on the NDDPI Resource Hub to support districts in selecting and applying enrollment codes accurately.
The student enrollment codes guide:
- Outlines enrollment codes and details how they connect to enrollment types, funding implications and state assessment responsibilities.
- Provides direction for students placed in residential facilities, distinguishing between facilities supported by North Dakota public school districts and those that are not.
- Offers guidance on cross‑site enrollments and exit codes to accurately document student departures.
Districts are encouraged to use the included matrices when enrolling students to ensure each code aligns with their educational circumstances. This guide is designed to streamline enrollment, placement and assessment processes across districts, helping ensure compliance and consistency in student record management.
The document is considered a living resource and will be updated as additional guidance becomes available.
Staff Gender Filter
Please take a moment to review staff records and ensure the “Gender” field is populated for all staff members. Staff records with a blank Gender field can cause issues when using the Staff Locator Wizard to transfer staff between schools. Taking a few minutes to review and update any missing values now can help avoid delays and ensure staff transfer processes function correctly moving forward.
To assist with this process, NDDPI has published an ad hoc filter called "Staff Without a Gender." Districts can view a list of all staff who need to be updated by performing an All People search. The user performing the search must have tool rights to edit the "Demographics" screen and have read rights to "State Owned Filters."

Infinite Campus: Transition from Implementation to Support
As districts move closer to completing their Infinite Campus implementation activities, many will soon (starting in September) transition from the Implementation phase into Infinite Campus' standard support phase. After this transition, districts will no longer work directly with their assigned implementation team and will begin utilizing Infinite Campus' established support processes and resources.
While support will continue to be available, we encourage districts to take advantage of the next few weeks to ask questions, validate configurations, and address any remaining concerns with their implementation team while that direct access is still available. This transition is a normal part of the project journey and is designed to ensure districts receive ongoing, sustainable support moving forward.
Historical Lunch Balances & Lunch IDs
NDDPI has received several requests for historical student and staff lunch balances from PowerSchool. Districts needing historical lunch balance information or Lunch ID numbers may email bridge@nd.gov with their request. Please note that this data represents the final upload into PowerSchool and reflects balances as of June 30, 2026.
21st Century Program Update
A strong partnership between a public school and an after‑school program 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) is essential for supporting the whole child, academically, socially, and emotionally. When these two learning environments operate in harmony, students benefit from a seamless continuum of support that extends well beyond the traditional school day. Schools provide the foundation: academic standards, student data, curriculum goals, and insight into each learner’s needs. After‑school programs then build on this foundation with enrichment opportunities, targeted interventions, and supportive relationships that reinforce classroom learning in engaging, flexible ways. This shared responsibility helps students stay connected, motivated, and on track. 21st CCLC grant recipients must indicate partnership with a public school on their grant application.
With the idea of shared responsibility for students and streamlining systems, the 21st CCLC programs will utilize Infinite Campus in the upcoming school year. In the spirit of partnership, we are asking the districts to assist the 21st CCLC in setting up their calendars, programs, and sections.
At a minimum, the districts will need to:
- Establish a 21st CCLC calendar for the schools that partner with the 21st CCLC programs
- Load staff from the 21st CCLC program and grant them access to the calendar
- Load the 21st CCLC ‘course codes’ into the schools Course Catalog
For the first year, the calendar will need to be built from scratch, but in subsequent years, the calendar could be copied into the upcoming year.
The other items we’d ask the district to assist the 21st CCLC programs with is:
- Establishing terms/periods
- Setting up the day calendar
- Pushing the courses to the 21st CCLC calendar
- Establishing the course sections
