GRAD 701 Advisory Committee

The GRAD 701 advisory committee helps guide the implementation of the State Personnel Development Grant (SPDG) by offering input, assisting in problem-solving, reviewing progress, and ensuring alignment with state and federal priorities for improving outcomes for children with disabilities.

The two-hour meetings will be held virtually and will take place in October and February. The time of day will be selected to work best for the majority of advisory members.

The committee's composition aims to include all major stakeholders who can provide resources and support for individuals with disabilities. Members are appointed by the Office of Specially Designed Services and will serve through the 5-year grant. Membership will need to have experience within a North Dakota public school and be a:

  • Parents of individuals with disabilities (ages birth through 21)
  • An individual with a disability
  • Teacher (general or special education)
  • Administrator (general or special education)
  • Person involved in early intervention and education
  • Parent support agency staff
  • Community organization or professional development provider

A GRAD 701 Advisory member may be compensated up to $125 per meeting if not already paid under another source. For educators a sub-stipend would also be provided.
