Testing Information

Praxis I:

Formerly known as the PPST (Pre-Professional Skill for Teachers) the Praxis I tests are now known as the Core Academic Skills for Educators. As of Sept 1, 2014, ETS no longer offers the PPST and offers the Core Academic Skills for Educators Tests. Below are the passing scores for the new tests as well as the former PPST tests:

Required Tests

NEW AS OF SEPTEMBER 1, 2018: Core Academic Skills: Applicants must meet individual qualifying scores in Reading, Writing, and Math OR

meet a composite score of 466 with no score being below the minimum set for teach test. Reading minimum is 149, writing minimum is 153, and math minimum is 143. 

PPST: Applicants must meet individual qualifying scores in Reading, Writing, and Math or meet qualifying scores on 2 of the tests and have a composite score of 516.

*An applicant can’t use some of the PPST tests and some of the Core Academic Skills.

Scores

Score reports are available online thru your ETS account 2 to 3 weeks after the testing window closes or 2-3 weeks after your test date for tests offered continuously. Please save your score report as a pdf document and email it to espbinfo@nd.gov when you are ready to apply for licensure.
