The Main Street ND Summit is an annual gathering of local and regional community building experts and advocates to share best practices and engage community leaders, entrepreneurs, students and interested citizens in envisioning North Dakota’s future.
Over 1,000 North Dakotans joined us in Bismarck for the 2019 Summit to learn from speakers, participate in sessions and experience practical activities that had them thinking about the economic and community development of where they call home.
The planning for the 2020 Main Street Summit (October 6-7, 2020) is underway! This year's theme is Building Resilient Communities. Join us for world-class keynotes and invigorating break-out session conversations.
Tickets to attend the Main Street Summit are available for $20 each, thanks to our support from our sponsors and industry partners. The first 500 registrants will receive by mail, a Main Street Summit gift.
The Department of Commerce is closely collaborating with the ND Department of Health, the Bismarck-Burleigh Local Public Health Unit and the Bismarck Event Center to develop on-site health and safety protocol that will ensure CDC recommendations and ND Smart Restart guidelines regarding social distancing and safety are maintained. As a part of this precaution, a final decision will be made on September 14 whether or not we will be able to have in-person participation. This decision will depend on the current and projected risk level for both the State of North Dakota and Morton and Burleigh Counties. If the decision is made that it is safe to allow in-person participation during the Summit then we will allow up to 250 members of the public (including staff, volunteers, and speakers) to participate on-site. This will more than allow for the recommended level of social distancing and spacing. Finally, all attendees will receive a mask and personal hand sanitizer, and room layouts will allow at least 6 ft. of distance between attendees.
