Freedom Bells

Freedom Bells celebrates 250 years since July 4th, 1776 - the date that is considered the "Birth of Our Nation"

To commemorate this historic semiquincentennial, the Military Order of the World Wars and supporting organizations are organizing and promoting a coordinated national bell-tolling ceremony across the country and internationally. These America 250 celebrations begin at 12:00 noon local time and can serve as the opening of a larger gathering, a featured moment within a community program, or the culmination of a breakfast, luncheon, or commemorative event.

The Chateau de Morès Interpretive Center in Medora is offering free educational activities on Fridays in June related to the history of the Chateau and leisure activities popular in the Victorian era. Children must be accompanied by an adult. All sessions are free and open to the public. 

June 5, Eureka Stained-glass Jars, 1-4 p.m. Eureka glass adorns many doors in the Chateau de Morès. Learn its history, then use your art skills to recreate the effect on a glass jar.
