State of the State

Gov. Doug Burgum will deliver his 2020 State of the State address at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 29 at the Chester Fritz Auditorium on the University of North Dakota campus in Grand Forks.

The State of the State address – Burgum’s fourth since taking office Dec. 15, 2016 – will be livestreamed at www.governor.nd.gov. Burgum delivered the address at the Capitol in 2017 and 2019 and at Minot State University in 2018. Lt. Gov. Brent Sanford also will attend the address in Grand Forks and deliver welcome remarks.

Burgum to host Girl Scouts of the USA CEO, Palo Alto Networks President for Cybersecurity Education and Diversity Summit

Gov. Doug Burgum today announced a first-of-its-kind event in April that will bring together local, regional and national partners involved in North Dakota’s K-20W Initiative to highlight the unique cybersecurity education effort and its goal of “Every Student, Every School, Cyber Educated.”

The Cybersecurity Education and Diversity Policy Summit will take place on April 20 at Bismarck State College.
