Red River Valley Genealogical Society - Writings of Family History, Stories and Memories
Red River Valley Genealogical Society will be publishing writings about family history records, family stories and memories.
For 2026, we are inspired to do something similar. We are asking, inviting, cajoling our members & others to write a 250 word essay about the meaning of 250, or write 250 words about a family revelation or 250 words to preserve a family memory or 250 on some compelling research you have done, or a submit photo worth 250 words or write a poem with 250 sentiments.
America 250 - Mandan Independence Day Parade
Mandan has celebrated Independence day since 1879 with a parade almost as long as it has been a city. The parade has become an annual tradition for many families and has grown to be the largest parade in North Dakota.
