As a Parole and Probation Officer, you will provide direct supervision to individuals placed on parole or probation. You will complete intakes on clients, develop case plans, and provide overall management of the client's case. In this position, you may assist in parole investigations for the Parole Board, and other miscellaneous investigations as needed. Work includes exposure to hazardous conditions potentially resulting in a serious physical injury requiring medical attention, and some lost time from work. Minimum Qualifications

Minimum qualifications for a Parole and Probation Officer II requires a bachelor's degree with preference given with a degree in a behavioral science, education, business or closely related field and eligibility to be licensed as a peace officer in North Dakota, and three years of work experience directly interacting with individuals in a correctional, law enforcement, social work, education, behavioral health setting OR associate degree with five years of experience directly interacting with individuals in a correctional, law enforcement, social work, education or behavioral health setting. Incumbent must be licensable as a ND Peace Officer under North Dakota Century Code Chapter 12-63, which includes passing the critical task assessment. Incumbent shall attend the first available basic peace officer training recognized by the ND Peace Officers and Training Board (POST Board) ensuring authorization to perform the peace officer duties of a Parole and Probation Officer in accordance with North Dakota Century Code Section 12-59-20. Must have a valid class D driver's license. Must pass a thorough background investigation and criminal record check. Minimum qualifications for the Parole and Probation Officer I require a bachelor's degree, with preference given to degrees in behavioral science, business, education or closely related field OR associate degree with two years of experience directly interacting with individuals in a correctional, law enforcement, social work, education, or behavioral health setting. This position will require the following certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD), and National Crime Information Center (NCIC) within six months of hire . Team members must live within 30 minutes of the work location. Successful completion of the interview process, reference checks, background investigation and pre-employment drug and hearing tests.
