A 2010 Air Tractor 602 agricultural spray plane crashed in a bean field 1,500 feet south of Highway 13, nine miles west of Gwinner.
The suspect is identified as 23-year-old Daniel Michael TwoHearts. TwoHearts fired three shots from a 9 mm handgun. Three passengers were in the Chevrolet pickup; two were arrested. Methamphetamine was located inside the vehicle. Area residents were notified as the ground search was conducted.
Motorists are urged to use caution at the rest stops in the Jamestown area. The North Dakota Highway Patrol has received calls from the public regarding two males in a paper-plated white Kia approaching them and asking for money.

To increase commercial motor vehicle (CMV) safety, North Dakota Highway Patrol troopers and safety inspectors participated in a nationwide CMV enforcement and education program. International Roadcheck, sponsored by the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA), was held June 7-9 and troopers statewide participated. International Roadcheck is a 72-hour period when approximately 10,000 CVSA-certified local, state, provincial, territorial, and federal inspectors in jurisdictions across North America perform large truck and bus safety inspections.
Tomorrow through Thursday, all North Dakota Highway Patrol troopers and inspectors are focusing on enhancing commercial motor vehicle safety on North Dakota roads by performing roadside inspections.
So far this year, six motorcyclists have died in crashes in North Dakota. All six victims were not wearing a helmet and one crash involved alcohol. From the beginning of the year to date, data shows this has been a year with the highest number of motorcycle fatalities since 2010.
