Blacksmith Demonstration, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Bob McCay and Rick Wengel will share their knowledge of blacksmithing and use of the coal forge.

Celebrate the 11th anniversary of the State Historical Society of North Dakota's management of the Welk Homestead State Historic Site on Sunday, June 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Life on the Homestead, a day of free, family-friendly activities.
First International Peace Powwow and Peace Conference
Sponsored by the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa, the first International Indigenous Peace Powwow has been scheduled for July 3-6, 2026 in Dunseith, in conjunction with the Chief Little Shell Powwow and the grand opening of the 4-million dollar powwow arbor.
Indigenous Game of Snow Snake
Learn about and play the Indigenous game of snow snake Saturday, Feb. 21, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Pembina State Museum. Similar to ice gliders, the game features a snake carved from a long wooden pole or stick that is thrown across icy ground to see whose travels the farthest. The event is for those ages 6 and older. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Museum staff have several snow snakes and a track prepared for the event.
Reading on the Frontier book club
Reading on the Frontier, a history-based book club, will meet Saturday, March 7, 1-2:30 p.m., at the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center near Williston.
