The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office will be awarded the Colonel’s Award for Excellence on Friday. The office has assisted North Dakota Highway Patrol troopers numerous times during crash investigations and criminal arrests.
The group was nominated by Tpr. Nevon Heisler for their quick assistance with crash investigation and felony arrests. "The dedication of the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department is second to none. They are a asset to Pierce County citizens. They quickly respond to crashes, even when the scene is outside their jurisdiction," wrote Tpr. Heisler.
The Colonel’s Award for Excellence is given to NDHP employees or citizens who are nominated by any NDHP employee to recognize exceptional efforts in serving the citizens of North Dakota.
