Scholar speaker Ty Reese, Professor of History & American Indian Studies at the University of North Dakota, explores the Declaration of Independence within the context of the events that fueled its creation and adoption by the 2nd Continental Congress. This includes its ideological origins, the reason for the official break from King George III in 1776, and the long-term meaning of the ideas embedded within the Declaration of Independence.
