The North Dakota State Auditor’s Office was honored with an Award of Excellence in the category of Technical or Statistical Report at the National Association of Government Communicators (NAGC) Blue Pencil and Gold Screen Award ceremony. The other award winners in that category included the U.S. Air Forces in Europe & Africa, and the U.S. Geological Survey.
The event was held in Portland, Oregon, and celebrates excellence in government communications at all levels of government. Other award winners in the competition included the Department of Homeland Security, the Library of Congress, and the U.S. Department of State. This is the third time the State Auditor’s Office has been recognized with an award from NAGC.
“This award celebrates government entities that are doing exceptional communications work,” said Tabitha Clark, NAGC President. “As government communicators, we believe every citizen has a right to understand the work their government does. The example set by these communicators is blazing trails not only at their local level — but at an international level is remarkable and something that should be celebrated.”
NAGC was established in 1976 and is the only non-profit organization dedicated to advocating, promoting, and recognizing excellence in government communication. NAGC provides world-class communication training to its members and non-member government communicators through its annual Communications School and monthly professional development opportunities.
