State Auditor Joshua Gallion today released an audit of the North Dakota University System Office which shows from July 2016 through June 2018, the information technology division of the NDUS, known as Core Technology Services (CTS), did not properly procure 5 of the 14 tested transactions totaling $3.2 million.

"Citizens should have confidence that contracts are awarded in a way that gets the best return on their investment,” said Auditor Gallion. “Moving forward, CTS should take the necessary steps to comply with the rules.”

The audit also found that the North Dakota University System was not following the proper steps to approve general ledger entries.

This audit is a result of the State Auditor’s Office statutory responsibility to audit or review each state agency once every two years. The complete audit report can be found on our website, http://bit.ly/NDUSO18.
