As of June 10, ID supplements,self-issue single trip permits, and validation numbers are no longer available. ID supplements and self-issue permits previously purchased will be honored through calendar year 2013. Weights and dimensions will be limited to those authorized on the ID supplement.

The new online permitting program has additional, user-friendly features to issue permits in a timely manner. Information needed at time of application:

• Axle spacing measurements (axle center to axle center)
• Weight per axle
• Total number of axles - truck and trailer
• Tire width from side wall - millimeters or inches
• Load height, weight, length and width
• Overall height, weight, length and gross vehicle weight of truck/trailer with load
• Overhang to front and rear, when applicable
• Trip details including starting and ending locations
• Vehicle year and make
• License plate number and state of issue
• Vehilce identification number (VIN) - last 8 numbers
• ND registered gross weight
• Unit number
• Printable instructions on the new auto-routing permit system
