Audit Finds Lapse in Blanket Bond Coverage at Public Service Commission

State Auditor Joshua Gallion today released an audit of the Public Service Commission that found from January 1, 2018, to May 31, 2019, the agency did not have blanket bond coverage because controls were not in place to ensure renewal.
"Blanket bond coverage protects the agency from dishonest or unlawful activities of an employee,” Auditor Gallion said. “This 17-month lapse put the agency at risk without any protections in place.”
