Sub-minimum Wage Licensing

The Commissioner may issue licenses to certain individuals or entities, authorizing the employment of individuals meeting certain criteria to work for less than the minimum wage. Sub-minimum wage may apply to students enrolled in a vocational program or individuals with disabilities whose productive capacity to work is impaired by a physical or mental disability.
