Officials Break Ground on Flood Protection Project
On September 3rd, local and state officials broke ground on a flood protection project that will provide permanent protection for the Minot Water Treatment Plant. The project is designed to prevent floods similar to the 2011 flood of the Mouse River from impacting the plant and the region's water source.

Watford City Bypass Finalist for National Award
The NDDOT has been notified that the Watford City Southeast and Southwest Bypass project has been named one of the Top 10 projects for the America's Transportation Awards competition. As a Top 10 finalist, the Watford City Bypass project is in the running for two prizes: Grand Prize and People's Choice Award. A panel of experts will select the Grand Prize winner and the People's Choice Award will be decided through online voting. If you are interested in voting for the People's Choice Award, please do so by September 11th.
State Fleet Vehicle Auction - Bismarck
The Department of Transportation will be holding a ND State Fleet vehicle auction on Thursday, September 17, 2015, 11 am at 218 Airport Road, Bismarck, ND.

Watchable Wildlife Photo Contest
The North Dakota Game & Fish Watchable Wildlife Photo Contest is an annual photo contest that started in 1989. The contest showcases North Dakota's wildlife, plant, and insect species. Winning photos are displayed on the department's website and in the January issue of the North Dakota Outdoors magazine, the department's monthly magazine.
2015 Plots Guide Available Online
The North Dakota Game and Fish Department's Private Land Open To Sportsmen (PLOTS) Guide for 2015 is now available online. In addition, the PLOTS Guide is available at most license vendors throughout the state.
Dakota Nights Astromony Festival
The Dakota Nights Astronomy Festival is scheduled for Sept. 11-13 in Medora at Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
State offices are closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.
