Not a registrant, enlisted prior. Born, Forest River, N. Dak., July 26, 1896, of Canadian-American parents. Occupation - teamster. Enlisted at Rugby on May 19, 1917. Sent to Jefferson Barracks, Mo. Served in Company G, 16th Infantry, to death. Overseas from June 12, 1917, to death. Wounded, severely, May 4, 1918. Engagements: Offensive: Aisne-Marne. Defensive Sectors: Sommerviller and Ansauville (Lorraine); Cantigny (Picardy).
