Registered Burleigh county. Born, Fergus Falls, Minn., June 5, 1886, of Norwegian parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Bismarck on Sept. 18, 1917. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in Battery F, 338th Field Artillery, to Dec. 2, 1918; 238th Company, Military Police Corps, to death. Grades: Corporal, Nov. 3, 1917; Sergeant, Dec. 13, 1917; Stable Sergeant, Dec. 22, 1917; Sergeant, Dec. 14, 1918; Stable Sergeant, Dec. 19, 1918. Overseas from Aug. 18, 1918, to June 19, 1919.
