Served in Company F, 46th Infantry, to Aug. 17, 1917; Company M, 28th Infantry, to death. Grades: Private 1st Class, Aug. 17, 1917; Private, Sept. 1, 1917; Private 1st Class, June 15, 1918. Overseas from Oct. 31, 1917, to death. Engagements: Defensive: Montdidier-Noyon. Offfensive: Aisne-Marne. Defensive Sectors: Ansauville and Sommerviller (Lorraine); Cantigny (Picardy).
