BISMARCK – Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring issued the following statement following the appointment of North Dakota Grain Growers Association President Dennis Haugen to the Environmental Protection Agency’s Farm, Ranch, and Rural Communities Committee (FRRCC) by EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler:
“I congratulate Dennis on his appointment to the FRRCC and am grateful to Administrator Wheeler for his solid choice,” Goehring said. “Dennis understands North Dakota farmers and the agricultural industry in the state and will represent us well.”
Established in 2008, FRRCC provides independent policy advice, information, and recommendations to the EPA administrator on a range of environmental issues and policies that are of importance to agriculture and rural communities.
