G775 Emergency Operations Center Management and Operations

ND Department of Emergency Services is offering G775 Emergency Operations Center Management and Operations July 25-26, 2018 at the Quality Inn, 1030 E Interstate Avenume, Bismarck, ND. Class will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.

This two-day course is designed to examine the role, design, and functions of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and their relationships as components of a multi-agency coordination system. The course provides training about staffing and organization, information, systems, communications and equipment needs at the EOC, activating and deactivating the EOC, EOC operations and EOC training and exercising. Participants will have the opportunity to apply what they have learned during group activities. This course will also focus on the coordination between the Incident Command System (ICS) and the decisionmaking procedures taking place in the EOC.
Course Goal

This course is designed for Federal, State, and local emergency management officials, first responders, incident command staff, private industry and volunteer agency personnel responsible for coordinating activities during a disaster. This class is required training for the ND Emergency Management Support Team.

NDDES will reimburse appropriate participants that work and/or live in ND and travel a distance greater than 50 miles to attend for meals and lodging according to state rates and policy. We do not cover mileage.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Quality Inn, 1030 E Interstate Ave. To make your reservation call 701-223-1911 and ask for the "DES Emergency Operations Center" block. Reservations must be made by July 11, 2018 to get into this state rate block.
