Biography:

Registered Steele couny. Born, Salem, D. T., Jan. 13, 1887, of German-American parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Sherbrooke on July 22, 1918. Sent to Camp Custer, Mich. Served in 41st Company, 11th Battalion, 160th Depot Brigade, to Aug. 18, 1918; Battery C, 40th Field Artillery, to death.
