North Dakota State Capitol & Grounds
The North Dakota State Capitol and grounds are unique and offer a wonderful centerpiece for North Dakotas capitol city, Bismarck.
Completed and occupied in 1935, North Dakotas State Capitol was built as a result of a fire which destroyed the original capitol building in 1930. North Dakotas State Capitol is one of three high rise capitol buildings in the country and represents North Dakotas tallest building. Its architecture represents the Art Deco style made popular in the 1930s and 1940s.
The North Dakota State Page offers information and history about the North Dakota State Capitol and grounds, along with photos of both the current and former capitol buildings for viewing.
