Social Services Department

The Social Workers or the Case Manager acts as a liaison and resident advocate for resident and family members regarding individual issues in conjunction with other departments to ensure that your personal, social, and emotional needs are being met. Your Social Worker or Case Manager continually monitors for changes in mood, behavior, and cognition. The Social Workers or Case Manager work with the Care Plan Team to coordinate individualized treatment Care Plans for residents in the facility. When appropriate, Social Services Staff will meet with residents/family members to discuss interventions to address the following types of needs but are not limited to adjustment to long term care, grief counseling, support groups, and discharge planning where appropriate.

The North Dakota Veterans Social Services Department consists of an admissions coordinator/case manager, social services assistant/local driver, licensed addiction counselor, part-time chaplain, and two licensed social workers.
