Installation Procedure (DOS)

1.  At the DOS prompt, change to the directory that you used to download the
    file NDPERS.EXE
2.  Type ndpers and press Enter.  All necessary program and data files will 
    be extracted.

Installation Procedure (Windows)

1.  Using either Windows Explorer or My Computer, navigate to the folder where you downloaded NDPERS.EXE
2.  Double-click on NDPERS.EXE.  All necessary program and data files will be extracted.


Upon completion of the above steps, you should have the following files in your 
current directory:


    MANUAL.DOC                      the manual for the NDPERS Retirement
                                    Benefit Program -- MS Word format

    MANUAL.PDF                      same as above except PDF format (readable
                                    with Adobe Acrobat Reader)

    RETIRE.EXE                      the NDPERS Retirement Benefit Program

    DEFAULTS.DBF                    these files are used by RETIRE.EXE
    JS100.DBF
    JS50.DBF
    PHEALTH.DBF
    PRETIRE.DBF
    SSLEVEL.DBF
    TC10.DBF
    TC5.DBF

To run the program, type retire and press Enter.  Please consult MANUAL.PDF
or MANUAL.DOC for instructions on using the NDPERS Retirement Benefit Program.
