SENDING AN INMATE MONEY
Effective May 2, 2013, the DOCR will only accept money in the form of money orders, business checks and cashiers checks through the mail. Cash and personal checks will no longer be accepted. Any forms of money sent in not fully completed or legible will be returned to the sender. All business checks, money orders, and cashiers checks must be mailed to the address below.
When sending an inmate money you will need to know where the inmate is located. If the inmate is located at North Dakota State Penitentiary or Missouri River Correctional Center please use the address listed below.

Please ensure you have listed who the payment is from, who the payment is going to, and the inmate's number. Please make the payment out to the inmate you are sending payment to.
Business checks $100.00 and over and government checks over $500.00 will be held for 14 days before clearing in the inmate's account.
