Child Care Assistance Program

The N.D. Child Care Assistance Program helps income-eligible families pay for child care while they work or attend school or training.

Recent Program Changes

North Dakota made two changes to the Child Care Assistance Program to help more moderate to low-income families qualify for the program.

*This is an estimate.  Other criteria may impact eligibility.

  • Reduced family co-payments A co-payment is the amount a family is required to pay towards the cost of care.
    • A co-payment is determined on a sliding scale by:
      • Family Income
      • Family Household Size
