Bismarck, N.D. -- Family members displaced as a result of the severe storms and flooding in North Dakota may connect with other family members through an American Red Cross internet site.

The website provides a way to register yourself as "safe and well" and to search for others who may have registered on the site. Users may select from a list of standard messages to communicate to family members, letting them know of your well-being.

The site is available at https://disastersafe.redcross.org/default.aspx. Persons needing a computer to access the site may use one at any Red Cross shelter.

Those without internet access can call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) to register. A trusted friend or loved one can also register evacuees on the site.
