As a Temporary Maintenance Technician, you will perform highway, roadway, and structure maintenance. You will complete highway maintenance duties, which include roadway repairs, assisting in installing, repairing, and maintaining highway signs and guardrails. To complete these tasks and others assigned, you will operate power tools and other equipment to perform maintenance duties. Part of this job is to keep the roadways clear of any hazards, this includes litter, waste, debris, garbage. Assisting with traffic control setup and flagging will also be required.You will also be required to complete building and ground maintenance duties, such as tree trimming, mowing, painting, fence repair, gutter/downspout cleaning. As well as assisting with inventory tracking/storage. You will also perform minor preventive and repair maintenance on vehicles and equipment, parts runs, and assisting in the shop.An important part of this position and the culture at the NDDOT is to maintain a safe working environment for yourself, your coworkers, and others.

Minimum Qualifications

The role of this position is to provide customers with a supportive and assistive environment in identifying service needs and informing them of available services. Aircraft Commander Act as Pilot-in-Command or Second-in-Command to provide aerial transportation for state employees, conduct aerial photography and mapping.

The primary responsibility of this position (53-53-6379) is to provide Foster Care case management. This includes but is not limited to placement of children, case planning, referral to services, documentation, arranging and monitoring visitation, developing affidavits and attending court hearings. This position also provides backup for Child Protection Services. The Cass Human Service Zone Family Service Department serves to ensure the safety, permanency and well-being of children and families in our community. Three (3) positions are available to be filled with designated afternoon shift hours with specialization as CPS Assessment Worker or In-Home / Foster Care Case Manager depending on candidate experience, skillset and interest.Cross-training within the team may be utilized to ensure prompt response and consistency to ensure child safety in our community. Strong documentation, communication and collaboration skills are required of individuals in these positions to maintain quality delivery of services and continuity of client and case management between teams and team members on different shifts. Afternoon shifts may range between 11 AM to 9 PM.Hybrid (in-office and telecommuting) work environments will be considered for these positions outside of agency business hours.Zone business hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Frequent travel throughout Cass County, and occasional intrastate travel, is required.Example of DutiesAssess and process referrals for child abuse or neglect.Conduct assessment interviews.Design, organize, implement, and monitor effectiveness of case plans. Identify and facilitation use of community resources and support services.Make determinations regarding client placement.
