Served in 78th Company, Quantico, Va., from July 14, 1917, to Sept. 12, 1917; 75th Company, from Sept. 12, 1917, to Oct., 1917. Arrived in France, Oct. 6, 1917. Served in Replacement Battalion, to July 29, 1918; 78th Company, from July 29, 1918, to Aug. 20, 1918; Service of Supply Hospital, from Aug. 20, 1918, to death. Engagements: Toulon Sector; Aisne Defensive; Chateau-Thierry Sector; Meuse-Argonne; Champagne Sector. Gassed in action on June 14, 1918, and wounded, Oct. 9, 1918. Awarded, Fourragere.
