Registered Traill county. Born, Danforth, Ill., Oct. 18, 1895, of American-Swedish parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Hillsboro on July 22, 1918. Sent to Camp Custer, Mich. Served in 42nd Company, 11th Battalion, 160th Depot Brigade, to Aug. 18, 1918; Battery D, 40th Field Artillery, to death.
