Registered Sheridan county. Born, Plover, Iowa, July 2, 1895, of American parents. Occupation - blacksmith. Inducted at McClusky on Feb. 11, 1918. Served in Company I, Signal Corps, Fort Leavenworth, Kans., to Feb. 20, 1918; Company C, 317th Field Signal Battalion, to June 10, 1918; 10th Company, 3rd Battalion, 151st Depot Brigade, to death.
