Registered Cavalier county. Born, Langdon, N. Dak., June 19, 1893, of Canadian parents. Occupation - laborer. Enlisted in the Marine Corps at Fargo on July 26, 1917. Sent to Parris Island, S. C. Served in 12th Company, Quantico, Va., to Dec. 15, 1917. Arrived in France, Dec. 31, 1917. Served in 66th Company, 5th Regiment, to death. Engagement: Chateau-Thierry Sector.
