Registered Rolette county. Born, Hitchcock, S. Dak., Feb. 8, 1896, of Swedish-American parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Rolla on July 22, 1918. Sent to Camp Custer, Mich. Served in 11th Company, 3rd Battalion, 160th Depot Brigade, to Aug. 10, 1918; Company I, 77th Infantry, to death.
