Registered Foster county. Born, Erie, Ill., June 1, 1893, of American parents. Occupation - barber. Inducted at Carrington on June 28, 1918. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. Served in 10th Company, 3rd Battalion, 163rd Depot Brigade, to July 27, 1918; Company A, 313th Military Police, to death. Overseas from Aug. 16, 1918, to death. Engagement: Defensive Sector: Center (Alsace).
