Registered Bottineau county. Born, Doon, Iowa, May 19, 1894, of American parents. Occupation - farmer. Inducted at Bottineau on July 22, 1918. Sent to Camp Custer, Mich. Served in 12th Company, 3rd Battalion, 160th Depot Brigade, to Oct. 1, 1918; School for Bakers and Cooks, Camp Custer, Mich., to death.
